ARWO Liquid Knowledge Webinar Goes to the Dogs

Friday, February 28, 2025

ARWO will continue its Liquid Knowledge Webinar series March 5, 2025, with a session on the unique benefits – and limitations – of water leak detection dogs.

Register now for this webinar!

The webinar will explore how to get started, the training options, and what these dogs and handlers need to stay sharp over the long haul.

The webinar will offer a unique perspective on the use of specially trained canines for water leak detection.

The handlers of two dogs will present on how the dogs uniquely improve water leak detection by:

  • Precisely sniffing out water leaks
  • Quickly inspecting large areas
  • Minimizing the need to disturb the environment
  • Going where humans can't
  • Reducing cost

Our speakers include Sean Griffin, the handler of Davidson Water’s water leak detection dog, Puddles; Zach Lohr, the handler of Del-Co Water’s water leak detection dog, Keena; and Elisa Jones, a trainer with K9 Water Leak Detection University. In addition to her pioneering work to create a training curriculum for water leak detection, Jones has more than 25 years of experience in water and wastewater and holds an Ohio Class 3 Water and Wastewater Operator License.

In addition, the handler of Vessel, the first water leak detection dog in the United States, will be available for the Q&A session at the conclusion of the presentations. Vessel serves Central Arkansas Water.

ARWO thanks CoBank for its sponsorship of this webinar.
